In the Islamic Republic of Iran, it has been reported that 1 dollar passed through the free market 10 thousand Tumens (the local currency).

According to local sources, the dollar has been trading around 10,700 Tumens in the dollar free market, and does not stop raising throughout last few months in Iran.

Euro is equivalent to 12 thousand 65 Tumens in the country, whereas 1 Turkish lira is 2 thousand 250 Tumens.

In Iran, the dollar quickly rose from 4,000 to 7,500 Tumens in the short ti e, and President Hasan Ruhani’s government took the decision to fix dollar value to 4,200 Tumens in April and banned the sale and purchase of the US currency in the free market.

The statement made by the central bank yesterday, dollar currency was fixed at 4,403 Tumens.

This bad economy is affecting people as well as the markets, causing big protests.

The shopkeeper, influenced by the sudden rise of the dollar, organized a street protest and the shopkeeper of “Tehran’s Great Bazaar” closed the shutters for a few days.
