Imam of Urmia Who stood Against Kurdish Terrorists have passed away
The former imam of Urmiya city in South Azerbaijan has died.
Hocatul-Islam Hasani died at the age of 91 from kidney disease on May 21.
Gülmirza Hasani, who is known as Molla Hasani as a person close to the founders of the Islamic Republic in Urmiye, has always defended the ideas of the Islamic revolution, but he was very fond of Azerbaijanis because he always struggled against Kurdish terrorist groups active in that region.
It is known that in the first years of the Islamic revolution, the western regions of southern Azerbaijan were surrounded by Kurdish terrorists and they tried to destroy Azerbaijani people by cutting them in the city of Sulduz. Meanwhile, Molla Hasani attempted to stop the terrorists to a large extent and led the struggle of the local people for the cleansing of the region.
Molla Hasani was born in the town of Bozorgabad on July 21, 1927 in Urmiye. He was dismissed in January 2014, attributed to age and illness.
Some say Molla Hasani has recently been dismissed for his interest in the national rights of Azerbaijanis.
Molla Hasani, as he says, is fighting against the Pahlavi regime for a long time, after 18 years.
Molla Hassani was seen as a spiritual support besides the Turks in Urmiye and their imams, Western Azerbaijan. He is known as a hero in the region’s curing process, and for many years fought against Commela, Democrat, PKK and the Pejak terrorist group .
