Nadir Qazipur, deputy representative of the Iranian parliament of the Urmia city of South Azerbaijan, made important statements about the Tractor team of representatives of Tabriz in the Super League. Qazipur said in a statement to the news agency “Təbrizemən.ir”: “Unfortunately, this team has been damaged and weakened as a result of the mistake made by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Football Federation and some authorities,”. In recent times, the failure of the team has affected negatively the Azerbaijani people and the mood of the Turks in Iran. ” The deputy added that Iranian regime thinks of Tractor team and its supporters as a security issue, adding that the Tractor has great potential, and could bring 100,000 people to the Stadium. For this reason he stated that the Tractor should be seen as an opportunity rather than a threat. It should not be forgotten that Tabriz’s Tractor football team is of particular importance not only for soccer lovers in South Azerbaijan, but also for the slogans demanding national and democratic rights in their competitions. Instead of supporting the Tractor team, state always kept it under pressure.
