Araz News: Dr. Afshar Soleimani the former ambassador of Iran in Azerbaijan and Middle East expert said about the latest events in turkey on July 17, 2016:”Democracy in Turkey didn’t sacrifice, also, the world saw that the country which had already a history of coups. However, with the support of the people the coup failed.”

He added that not only Turkish government did not defeated by coup  but also,  it cause to strengthen democracy in Turkey and democracy and people have won in Turkey.

Soleimani in response to the question about the impact of the Failed coup on policy of Erdogan in future said that Erdogan will riders and stronger due to the massive street demonstrations in defense of Mr. Erdogan as a result of this he will continue to work with greater legitimacy.

Millions of Turks continue to celebrate a failed insurrection by a faction of the army two days after the streets and bridges of Turkey were blocked by soldiers and tanks Friday evening.

At least 290 people, mostly civilians, died in the clashes and heavy firing by rogue elements of the army before the putsch was quelled.

For the past two days, thousands of people have been coming out on the streets in major cities to converge around key monuments and squares in a show of solidarity with the government and express their anger against the attempted coup.

The crowds, which began assembling early Saturday morning, were encouraged to take to the streets by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Prime Minister Binali Yildirim.

According to the turkey’s media, Former Turkish Air Force Chief Akın Öztürk has confessed to prosecutors his role in plotting the coup that attempted to topple the government over the weekend.
