A 45-year-old lawyer was murdered by an unidentified person in Urmia, South Azerbaijan.

The event took place on May 24-25th.

According to local press reports, Mansur Mahmood was killed in front of his house by a knife.

Mahmudi, a lawyer from Urmia, was originally from Salmasi in the western part of Azerbaijan. The West Azerbaijan Lawyers Association issued a statement on this incident.

In the explanation, it is stated that at the attack against the lawyer, killers must be investigated extensively and the case should be resolved as soon as possible.

No government official commented on the incident.
