US Call for Resistance against Iran

US Central Command (CENTCOM) Commander Gen. Joseph Votel has called on the Gulf states to leave their disputes to an end, to threaten Iran’s stability and to unite against radical organizations.
US CENTCOM Commander Gen. Joseph Votel said in a speech, at the meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries in Kuwait and the Presidents of the General Staff of Egypt and Jordan, that they would like to leave their disagreements on the Gulf countries, to focus on Iran’s threats of destabilization and violent radical organizations.

Stressing that the tumultuous activities of the Tehran government and pro-violent radical organizations are two security threats to the region, Votel said that it is necessary to consolidate and enhance forces for common national security interests.

Using the expressions “We should not be moving in any way against to our allies”, Votel said that this would benefit the enemy.

“We should try to find rooted solutions once we have identified the issues,” Votel said. Changes in the US and in the world require us to get closer. ”

The JCC countries and the Chief of General Staff of Egypt and Jordan reunited today in Kuwait after a comprehensive military meeting held two days ago. Officials from the US Central Command also attended the meeting.

According to a written statement from the Kuwaiti army, the meeting discussed issues aimed at strengthening joint efforts to secure the region, regional affairs, combat terrorism and extremism in the Middle East, and maintain stability in the region’s countries.

The chiefs of staff of the same countries, including Qatar, gathered in Kuwait two days ago to discuss ways to strengthen joint defense and military business unity.

The meeting was the first military meeting attended by Qatar following the Gulf crisis that broke out in 2017. Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt governments cut off all diplomatic ties with Qatar on 5 June 2017 and economic blockade implementations led to a crack in the Gulf region.
