Another Impact on Iranian Economy! Volkswagen Stopped its Activities in Iran.

German automotive giant Volkswagen has decided to stop most of its activities in Iran because of unilateral sanctions imposed on Tehran by the United States.

According to the news of Bloomberg, a US official, the US administration, which imposed unilateral sanctions on Iran, persuaded the German company to participate in sanctions.

US Ambassador to Berlin Richard Grenell said that long-term debates were held with the company officials to persuade Volkswagen to join sanctions in Iran. ’Volkswagen said it would comply with Iran sanctions. We are pleased with this decision. Iran, instead of transferring its economic resources to the people of global instability and violence is directed to spread.

There was no explanation from Volkswagen.

The US’s first sanctions package, launched on August 7, is targeting the automotive sector, one of the largest employment areas in the country.
