The Iranian Police detained 46 women in an operation in Bandar Abbas city in the south of the country.

The Iranian state, which is trying to ban all social media applications, is also taking people who use it into custody on account of sharing the photos in these applications.

It was announced that the arrested were mostly photographers, beauty salons and wedding hall workers. “If organizdd this is an act of cultural harm”.

While it not allowed to use social media sites like Facebook and Twitter in Iran since 2009. Iran’s spiritual leader Ayatollah Khamenei’s official Twitter account is still there.
