Another Ban from Dictatorial Iran.
Iran’s Deputy Chief Prosecutor Muhammad Mousaddik said that the use of Instagram would be banned in Iran.
At a press conference held in Tehran, the Deputy Chief Prosecutor Mossadik said that Instagram would be banned from the most used social media networks in the country.
While Mousaddik did not give any information as to when the ban would be put into practice, the reason for this decision was that “some artists in the country cause the abuse of help for the needy people through Instagram”.
In Iran, the use of social sharing sites such as Facebook and Twitter is forbidden. In the last December, in the city of Mashhad, the actions that started with economic problems and spread to other cities as anti-regime protests were followed by ban of the Telegram in April.
Internet users in the country with the 55 percent of the most used Telegram followed by 23 percent Instagram. Last week, following the actions of the Tehranian traders protesting the rapid rise of the dollar in the country, it is noteworthy that the decision to close Instagram was taken.
