Speaking to the public during a visit to Tabriz, South Azerbaijan, President Ruhani highlighted the expression “the fragrant flower of Iranian soil and a source of pride” for Turkish language.

“I want to strengthen the Turkish language and literature from the authorities of Eastern Azerbaijan, the authorities and the universities on the east, and to publish the necessary books,” he said.

Ruhani also promised to assist Tebriz’s Tractor Football Club in Iran’s First Football League which experiencing financial problems and risk of falling. Tractor Sazi, run by Turkish technical director Ertuğrul Sağlam, ranks 11th in the league.

In the final match of the 17th Super League competition in Iran Tractor will meet Khulistan’s Fulad team.

The match will take place in Ahvaz’s Tashti Stadium on April 27 at 18:00.
