The bust of the well-known Azerbaijani poet Muhammad Hussein Shahriyar was destroyed by an unknown person or persons in Parsabad in the province of Erdebil.

Citizens gathered in the Şehriyar square and organized protest action. A protest against the destruction of the Azerbaijani poet was carried out on Saturday and the peaceful protest was disseminated by the police.
