The governor of West Azerbaijan, Muhammad Mahdi Shahriari, announced that the Iranian president Rouhani would visit West Azerbaijan in the days to come. During this visit, “The railway station of the city of Urmia ”and “the Airport of Maku city” will be opened.
Unfortunately, lying and deceiving people is a deep-rooted tradition of the Iranian state.
Rouhani, in his election campaign, had made three promises to the Azerbaijani Turks.
1- First- to prevented the Lake of Urmu drought and to revitalize it;
2- Second- to initiate Education in Azerbaijani Turkish language in schools
3- Third- to open institution in Tabriz for Azerbaijani Turkish Language;

Now the second term of Rouhani’s presidency is about to end.
Urmia Lake, the second largest salt lake in the world, is 80% dry, and this means that human, animal and plant life in the region is gradually disappeared by the effect of salt, dispersed by wind. Experts state that only a small part of the agreed budget is allocated and that it is spent on unnecessary and useless advertisements or sessions.
As for the Turkish language institution and education, there is no movement except for some deceptive acts, and the promises that are not kept.
Aside from all this, the economic situation of the whole country has become so bad that a significant portion of the citizens have difficulty in their daily lives. Unemployment and inflation rose above 50%. The authorities confess that more than 70% of industrial units across the country are closed, and those that are still open are in serious crisis. Banks are going bankrupt, and strikes have become a part of everyday life. There is no food available in the grocery stores even when there is money.
In such a disastrous situation, Rouhani unveils the projects planned to be completed 40 years ago in West Azerbaijan. It is not clear how much the facilities are actually functional.
When asked about the pitiful situation; the religious leader answers that the revolutionary guards and their affiliated bodies control everything and that the government does not have much to do.
Then you have to ask Rouhani and his cabinet; “you have no authority and power to do business, then why do you continue the task? Why are you fooling the people? Or you are the same as Hamenyi and Revolution guards.

In South Azerbaijan, the Turkish nation no longer has any confidence in either the Rouhani or the Hameneyi or the regime. The only way for our nation is to rule its own destiny through strikes and protests.
