Araz News: Seyyed Hadi Bahadori the representative of Urmia in Iran parliament attended with Azerbaijani traditional dress and gave a speech about retrogression of the Azerbaijan region specially Urmia city on 15 Feb.

It should be noted that, any Azerbaijani parliament members have never been worn traditional dress before and it happens for a fist time in history of the Islamic Revolution.

Mr. Seyyed Hadi Bahadori has mentioned decreasing of development indicators of west Azerbaijan in recent years.

He pointed to the Pahlavi period and said:” During the Pahlavi period, Azerbaijan faced with many injustices such as denial of education in native language, changing places and city names, Colonialism and despotism in Azerbaijan regions.” He also said that Pahlavi period was intellectual repression for Azerbaijan.

He also mentioned to recent insult of ‘HAMSHAHRI’ newspaper (Iran official newspaper ‘HAMSHAHRI ‘wrote an article and falsified the history of west Azerbaijan).

He said: “Azerbaijan people never let to any  activities which insult the culture, history and Identity of Azerbaijan and we react definitely.”

He added: “We call for the full implementation of articles 15 and 19 of the constitution and  teaching Azerbaijan Turkish language in our schools .We want  dear President to consider Citizenship rights.”

He also demands to create the first Azerbaijani Turkish language channel by IRIB.

At the end, he points to the great potential of commercial and mining at West Azerbaijan, however West Azerbaijan takes at the top level of unemployment unfortunately. Azerbaijan  needs more attention. Azerbaijan is the cradle of culture and morality and honor and the gates of civilization of Iran.
