Araz News:South Azerbaijani right activists of Urmia city make calls to Tractor Football Club supporters to support Lake Urmia rescue campaign.

In an announcement published in South Azerbaijani web sites activists call Tractor fans to sound chants to support Lake Urmia rescue campaign during mach between Tractor team of South Azerbaijan and Al-Ain team of UAE.

The game is on 1^st April 2014.

In the last years the sport matches in South Azerbaijan have become a field for South Azerbaijani Turkish people to demonstrate their national aspirations. Especially matches of Tractor-Sazi Futball Club of Tabriz are focused. Frequently tens of thousands of fans come to Tabriz from all South Azerbaijan provinces (Urmia, Zanjan, Ardabil, etc.) to support Tractor and also to make national demonstrations.

Lake Urmia is a focal point in national demonstration in South Azerbaijan.
