Veteran rights activist Mr.Aziz Purvali, accompanying other South Azerbaijani activists visited South South Azerbaijani political prisoner Mr. Ayat (Yurush) Mehralibeyglou’s family.

On the occasion of Mr.Mehralibeyglou’s birthday, Mr.Purvali and some other activists visited his home in the city of Sofiyan. During the visit Mr.Purvali appreciated his wife Mrs.Sona Farajzadeh because of her resistance against Persian chauvinism and expressed that Mrs. Farajzadeh is an example for Azarbaijani women.

Activists presented a portrait of Mehralibeyglou’s to his wife which was written on “Love of nation is one of the most sacred loves”.

Activists were also given information by Mrs.Farajzadeh about conditions of prison. She has emphasized awful conditions of the prison of Tabriz such as lack of enough space, insufficient health services, bad food quality, ill-treatment by prison authorities, very old facilities, etc. she stated that these conditions are even worst for political prisoners and prisoners of conscience.

Via the visiting of Mr. Mehralibeyglou’s home, South Azerbaijani activists have expressed and demanded that the Iranian authorities should free all prisoners of conscience including who are deprived from their freedom because of defending rights of Azerbaijani people.

Ayat Mehralibeyglou is one of five members of Central Committee of New National Awaking Movement of Azerbaijan (NNAMA) who are sentenced to 9 years imprisonment.
