Iran Spoils Relationship With Other Countries

Tehran’s administration called on the diplomatic representatives of the three countries to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs following the arrest of an Iranian diplomat in Germany on the grounds of preparation for an anti-regime group to attack in Paris.

A group of anti-regime activists in Iran reacted to the arrest of a diplomat in Germany and event in Paris, France.

In a statement made by the Iranian Foreign Ministry, diplomatic representatives of France, Belgium and Germany in Iran were called to the ministry.

The spokesman of the Ministry, Behram Kasımi, said that his objections to the permission of the National Resistance Council of Iran, the People’s Freedom Fighter Organization, which is accepted as a “terrorist organization” in Iran, to be allowed in Paris on Saturday were strongly supported by France’s Ambassador François Senemaud .

Kasimi stated that the objection of his country was transferred to Germany’s charges in Tehran for the arrest of an Iranian diplomat in Germany on the request of the French police on the grounds that he was ready to attack the activity in Paris.

“Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Aracçi stated to the German representative that the diplomat had diplomatic immunity under the Geneva Convention and must be released unconditionally,” the spokesman said.

The spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Kasımi, noted that the Belgian ambassador to Iran was invited to the ministry to be questioned.

Three Iranians suspected of preparation for an attack on the event organized by the National Resistance Council of Iran on Saturday in Paris were arrested in Germany on the request of the French police. Among those arrested was an Iranian who served as diplomat at the Austrian Embassy in Vienna.

Iranian officials and the media say the incident was planned by the organization to sabotage the relationship between Iran and Europe during President Hassan Ruhani’s visit to Europe.

Former New York Mayor Rudy Giulliani, known for his close friendship to US President Donald Trump, and some top names from Arab countries participated in the event organized by the National Resistance Council of Iran, which was recognized as a terrorist organization in Iran .
