Araz News: South Azerbaijan national movement activists distributed Turkic books widely among South Azerbaijani students in commemoration of the International day of mother language on 20 Feb 2017.

The activists gave a speech about the importance of education in mother language and encouraged the teachers to use more Turkic language in schools and institutions.

21 of  February was named by the UNESCO as International Day of the mother language.

It should be mentioned that more than 35 million Turks in Iran are deprived right to education in native language.

Each year in the “International Day of native language”, a number of activists of South Azerbaijan are trying in the way of protecting and restoring native language, however, they are arresting by the Iran regime Security forces.
