Araz News:South Azerbaijan National Activist Siamak Mirzaee Mr. Siamak Mirzaee political prisoner, was transferred to quarantine of general ward from ward 209 of Evin prison after 4 months. He was acquitted of “links with foreigners” and currently he is charged with “forming and managing a group to disrupt the country’s security.”

Siamak Mirzaee had announced in a phone contact with his family that he had been transferred to quarantine of general ward from ward 209 of Evin prison after 4 months on November 12,.

On October 26, session of interrogation and investigation of Siamak Mirzaee on charge of “relations with foreigners” was held and lasted more than five hours.

According to Mirzaee’s father who has been closely watching the trial, his son denied all charges and announced that his arrest had been done by the intelligence ministry.

On the day of the trial, judge Rajabi also announced to Mirzaee’s father the prevention of security experts of Evin prison as the reason of not accepting the bail.

Siamak Mirzaee had been arrested by the security forces at his workplace and was transferred to ward 209 of Evin prison on July 14.

He was interrogated for 40 days in solitary confinement, and had a brief phone call with his family.

Mirzaee was graduated in livestock production engineering and is one of the starred students who were banned of education in 2010.

He had previously also been arrested by security forces and was tried by the relevant judicial authorities in 2006, 2007, 2010 and 2011.
