The file of Abbas Lisani, a well-known national cultural activist of Erdebili, is addressed in Chapter 11 of the Tabrizi Revolutionary Court.

Nasir Ayyabati, the Erdebil prosecutor, informed Abbas Lisani’s wife, Rugaye Alizadeh, that he was present at the prosecutor’s office on 11th of July.

“Abbas Lisani was taken into custody on 2nd of July by the decision of the Eastern Azerbaijani judicial system and his file appears in chapter 11 of the Tabriz Court,”.

Famous activist was detained in Erdebil a few days before the Babek Castle march on July 2nd. A few days before being taken into custody, the activist talked about the importance of participating in Babek’s ceremony.

Abbas Lisani said that in the last days, at the funeral of the master Hasan Demirci, thousands of Azerbaijani activists will show that Azerbaijan will not be in a passive position in public-political processes and will show its strength when needed.

Abbas Lisani is one of the important names of Azerbaijan National Movement. He was imprisoned for many years of cultural and political struggle against the Turkish nation,and was repeatedly taken into custody and subjected to various pressures.
