South Azerbaijani Activist Mr. Siamak Mirzaee Announced His Hunger Strike by Publishing an Open letter
Araz News: Siamak Mirzaee South Azerbaijani national activist went on hunger strike and he announced his hunger strike by publishing an open letter on Monday 15th of June.
Siamak Mirzaee had been arrested by the security forces at his workplace and was transferred to ward 209 of Evin prison on July 14.
He stated that the main reason of his hunger strike is violation in the process of his case to hold a renewal Court by intelligence and security forces.
Mr. Siamak Mirzaee has sentenced to 10 years in prison and 2 years of exile by judge Hasani at Golestan’s Revolutionary Court.
Mirzaee stated at the end of his letter, to consider his case, Otherwise, he will continue his hunger strike and the consequences of his strike are the responsibility of security agents and judicial agents.
According to Araz news agency, he sentenced to 10 years in prison and two years of exile by judge Hasani at Golestan’s Revolutionary Court on Jan 21, 2017.
Mr. Mirzaee was acquitted of “links with foreigners” and currently he is charged with “forming and managing a group to disrupt the country’s security.”
Session of interrogation and investigation of Siamak Mirzaee on charges of “relations with foreigners” was held and lasted more than five hours on October 26,2016.
