Araz News: One of the Well-known South Azerbaijan national activist Mr. Behbood Gholizdeh was released on parole from Tabriz Central Prison 16^th of June 2016.

Head of the Tabriz revolutionary court Judge Bagherpour sentenced Behbood Gholizdeh to 9 years in prison along with Mahmoud Fazli, Shahram Radmehr, Ayat Mehrali Baigloo and Latif Hasani.

Behbood Gholizdeh South Azerbaijan national activist was charged with membership in the central committee of GAMOH (A South Azerbaijan National movement party), actions against the national security and propaganda against the regime.

He was also accused to Promoting nationalism and Pan-Turkism and propaganda against the regime and the use of colors and symbols of North Azerbaijan on his Advertising board and business cards on Jan 16, 2010.

It is worth mentioning that Mr. Behbood Gholizdeh arrested during the protests of South Azerbaijanis people to protest the racist cartoon published in the government newspaper Iran in 2006 and a few months later was released.
