Azerbaijani Mountaineers Climbed the Babek Castle

A group of young Azerbaijani mountaineers, Babek Kalesi (Bezz Castle) gradually read patriotic poems filled with high feelings of nationalism.

In Mountaineering Climbing Sports Club’s event on April 6, national-cultural activists protested against the current situation in Azerbaijan. They read poems about Urmu Lake, Nagorno-Karabakh, the Tractor team and the historical figures of Azerbaijan.

Babek Castle, about 3 kilometers from Kaleber, is considered a symbol of resistance in South Azerbaijan. Since 1998, Azerbaijani activists have been protesting in this historic space, condemning the Iranian regime’s discrimination policy against Azerbaijan and demanding democratic and national rights of the Turkish nation.
