Azerbaijani national-cultural activist Hadice Hejabri said that the Turkish language is a red line of 40 million Azerbaijani Turks living in Iran’s geography.

Known as Turan Hanim, she responded with a video to minister of education discriminating racist speech against non-Persian languages.

The Hejabr said; “The red line of 40 million Azerbaijani Turks is Turkish language, Azerbaijani territories and national identity. They call us divisors and panturkists. But we are neither a divisor nor a panturkist. We demand our identity. We want our children to study in their mother tongue. I condemn the statement made by the fascist minister here”.

Hadije Hejabri, who wrote three volumes “mother tongue” with her hand, summarized the words “Azerbaijan”, “mother language of life” and “Turkish language of life”.

On 14th of July Minister of Education of Iran Muhammad Bethayi called education in Persian language “the red line of the system”, stating that non-Persian language education is dangerous and prohibited. This statement of the minister led to the widespread protest of the Turks, and despite 20 days of protest, protests continue in different forms.

About 20 Azerbaijani deputies condemned the minister’s remarks and demanded that their mother tongue be taught in schools. Some lawmakers immediately called for apologies, and others asked Minister to answer questions from parliamentarians.

People of South Azerbaijan demands that the Turkish language be taught in schools and universities.
