Tebriz Investigations Institute (TEBAREN) will organize an international symposium on “Historical Facts: Armenian persecutions in the West Azerbaijan Province of Iran” on April 21, 2018 at the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

In this symposium, which will be organized with the contributions of the Presidents of Abroad Turks and Relatives Communities; archival documents and Armenian atrocities According to Armenian sources, Karabakh and the occupied territories, lobbying, demands of Armenians in terms of international law, the Caucasus geopolitics and the Caucasus strategic breaks and Armenian-Russian works on issues such as Armenian image of Turkey, Azerbaijan and Iran ‘ will be examined by field experts.

A hundred years ago, thousands of defenseless Turks were killed in the east of Anatolia, in the Caucasus and in West Azerbaijan Province of Iran as a result of the attacks of armed Armenian gangs. According to the historical documents and the information given by the authors of the period, Urmiye, Hoy and Salmas, especially in the West Azerbaijan Province of Iran, over 100 thousand people have been subjected to massacre. This symposium entitled “Historical Facts in the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Persecutions: Armenian Massacre in Iran’s West Azerbaijan Province” organized in connection with the 100th anniversary of the Armenian crusade in the West Azerbaijan Province of Iran; it aims to explore the Armenian problem in various ways by starting from the events that have taken place in the past and open the debate on the less known issues on this field and seek solutions.
