Tabriz Chamber of Commerce Board Member Cemşid Barzger on 28 June at a press conference on the state of the country’s economy said:

“National interests should not be ignored. It is not right to deceive people with false information. Responsible authorities said that unemployment in East Azerbaijan was 5 per cent. In this case, they usually say there is no unemployment problem. This is not a proper approach. Deputies clearly state that the majority of those who apply to them are young unemployed people.

It is possible to say that 12 million people are unemployed in the country. However, the Iranian Statistics Center said that 4-6 million people were unemployed. The Budget and Planning Organization and the Central Bank provided different reports on this issue. All of this shows that there is no transparency in statistical data in the country. ”

Cemşid Barzger, who said that statistical data do not reflect reality, invited media organizations to support the issue and to spread the truth-reflecting information.

The board member of Tebriz Chamber of Commerce stated that the activity in East Azerbaijan could not explain the number of end-of-life and semi-active production establishments; “Industry, Mining and Trade Organization and even the Governor of East Azerbaijan can not give a certain figure. Because there was really no research done on this area and a definite list could not be obtained. ”

Barzger expressed regret that Tabriz is the sixth city in the industrial and manufacturing sector of the country. “We could not get the rights of Tabriz and Azerbaijan. Today, the sixth city in our country, we must regret and we should be sad. “
