The Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Iran Bünyad Huseynov met with Akbar Behnamcu, governor of the province of Erdebil.

The meeting focused on the development of bilateral economic relations and the construction of railways between two countries.

Provincial governor of Erdebil said that they were interested in expanding relations with the Republic of Azerbaijan and that the meetings of political and diplomatic representatives of the two countries were the basis for strengthening political, economic and cultural relations between the two countries.

Erdebil State and Azerbaijan want to have a railway connection, which would be an important step for trade, economic relations and increased exports of both countries. “As the result of the 24-hour operation of the compound border gate, the Azerbaijani relations will expand further,” the ambassador said.
