Ahvaz’s Arab population has protested against the Iranian racist actions. According to the Ahwaz Human Rights Organization, the protest took place on March 28 in front of Huzistan Tele-Radio Company. It was caused by content of a children’s publication on Iran’s second channel on 23rd of March. In the program, poppies were walking on the map of Iran, and when he came to every region he wore the regional clothes of the region. When he came to Ahvaz, another dress was used instead of the Arab dress. This distortion caused by a sharp protest of Ahvaz’s Arab population. Thousands of Arab protesters participated in the program of the Teleradio company and demanded the resignation of those who caused it. Protestors wear gathered in Arab clothes. In the protest, the slogans “Ahvaz is ours, nobody can take it away from us” were used. The Arabs strongly condemned the racist activities of Iranian television on social media and called on their citizens to join the protest. The Iranian television company, which ignored the Arab nation on the map, repeatedly resorted to similar distortions and provocations against other nations living in Iran, including Azerbaijanis. The mass media is one of the ways to implement the assimilation policy against non-Iranian nations in Iran, and this regime policy also uses religious and scientific textbooks
