Apple’s ban in Iran.
According to the Iranian state television IRIB channel, the US company has prevented Iranian users from accessing the company’s mobile application market AppStore. Apple, one of the world’s leading smartphone and electronics makers, can not officially sell equipment to Iran because of sanctions imposed by the Washington administration on Tehran, but a significant portion of Iran’s people are using Apple products imported from abroad. Last August, Apple also removed IOS apps from the AppStore for Iranian app developers. Iranian Communications and Information Technology Minister Muhammad Jawad recalled that 11 per cent of the smartphone market in the country belongs to Apple in his statement to Azeri Jehromi, saying, “Apple has failed in respecting customer rights. We’ll follow suit legally. ” On the other hand, Apple has yet to disclose the subject.
