Tebriz’s “Şehdari” basketball team became the Iranian super league champion.

This is a pioneer experience in basketball in South Azerbaijan. A South Azerbaijani team won the championship for the first time at Basketball.

On 13 February, the Tabriz “Şehdari” club played Mehram team at the Tevana Stadium in Tehran. Azerbaijan representative won the match with 85: 73 and won 3 of the 5 final games. Following this, the “Şehdari” team won the Iranian championship in the super league.

The game started at 16.30 by Tabriz time and was watched by 3 thousand spectators. The martial supporters said many national slogans during the game. They also supported the famous Azerbaijani football team Tractor.
