The Hideous Insult to The People of South Azerbaijan on a local Newspaper of Iran regime:” Flood Disaster Has Taken Its Audience”
Araz news: Iran’s local newspaper SHAHRVAND (Citizen) affiliated with the reformists, on its front page headline on Sunday, April 16 allocated its front page to Azerbaijan flood victims and described the victims as to blame on 16 th May.
According to Araz News agency, the SHAHRVAND newspaper affiliated with the reformist Iranian citizen who has published articles on a cultural and linguistic rights of the South Azerbaijan nation, has allocated flood disaster in the Azerbaijan region on its front page.
The reformist newspaper quoted from the Red Crescent Society Director of East Azerbaijan “Azar-Shar flood victims, in spite of the warnings had gone for filming and photography of the river.”
These quotes are said to be due to avoiding responsibilities since they did not appear on the scene until the evening of that day and the civilians had to help the victims and find the dead bodies.
Another Iran’s local newspaper HAMSHAHRI (Citizen) newspaper wrote on its headlines about the flood disaster and their headline was “flood came, the audience were gone” and it was published on its front page on Saturday 16 th of April 2017.
The newspaper wrote: “The 17 strangers that were killed in Azar-Shar, who had gone to the river to watch the flood and the 20 people of the Chinar Ajab-shire village where the villagers who lived along the river.”

It can be clearly seen that the people of South Azerbaijan have faced with discrimination by Iranian officials, Iranian media and press.
This is not the first time that Iran’s national Newspaper have published such a disgustingly racist. A couple years ago Iran’s state newspaper “Iran” compared the Turks to “cockroaches nourished with Persian poop” triggered demonstrations leading to killing of tens of Turkic protesters by Persian security forces in 2006. This video shows that Non-standard U-turn of Azar-Shahr main road which was instructed from the middle of the river by the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development caused the big tragedy.
