Araz News:  On Friday ,November 6, 2015,The children’s program called “Fitile2” which is broadcast from channel “2” the official TV channel of the Islamic Republic of Iran insulted and mocked Azerbaijani Turkic people once more.

In a part of this children’s program called ” Hotel Fitile “, was broadcasted an Azerbaijani  father and his son who want to leave the hotel due to the bad smell.

The synopsis of the offensive story  is as follows; the Azerbaijani boy used the toilet brush instead of a toothbrush, which means he himself was the source of the bad smell in the hotel. Therefore, Azerbaijani  father and his son objected to the reception of the hotel because of the bad smell in the hotel. At the end of the story, they realized that they are the source of the bad smell of the hotel.

Despite the fact that Azerbaijani Turkic the language of over 40 million Turks in Iran, is strictly banned from schools and national TV channels, the entire conversation exchanged between “the Azerbaijani father and son” in this episode was in Turkic, overtly ill-intended to insinuate and propagate that the ethnic Turks are ignorant and illiterate.

This is not the first time that Iran’s national media airs such a disgustingly racist show. A couple years ago Iran’s state newspaper “Iran” compared the Turks to “cockroaches nourished with Persian poop” triggered demonstrations leading to killing of tens of Turkic protesters by Persian security forces in 2006.

The program has led to protests by the National-Azerbaijani cultural activists on many social networks and it is predicted that the protests will be extended.
