Iran Vice-President: The salt dust of Urmia Lake Threatened Tabriz City
Araz News: Iran vice-president at a meeting of the Administrative Council in East Azerbaijan said:’ The greatest effect of salt dust of Lake Urmia observed in Tabriz and nearby towns.’
Ms. Masoumeh Ebtekar at a meeting of the Administrative Council in East Azerbaijan added last night: According to statistical data, Salt dust threatens Tabriz, which caused land subsidence in several areas of the catchment area of Urmia Lake.
She expressed that Urmia Lake revival programs runs to return water to the lake. Among these more than ever, we need the support and participation of the people.
The head of the Environmental Protection Agency Ms. Masoumeh Ebtekar said: according to the date of air pollution measuring devices, Severe pollution caused to be canceled many flights in Tabriz last year.
