24 Baha’is sentenced to a total of 193 years in prison in Iran
Araz News: 24 Baha’is who live in Golestan province in Iran were sentenced to a total of 193 years in prison.
These sentences are one of the heaviest rulings issued in the past few years, for Bahais. The names and sentences of these 24 Bahais are listed below:
- Shahnam Jadhbani sentenced to 11 years in prison.
- Shayda Qodousi sentenced to 11 years in prison.
- Farah Tebyanian sentenced to 9 years in prison
- Puna Sanai sentenced to 9 years in prison.
- Mona Amri Hesari sentenced to 9 years in prison.
- Behnam Hassani sentenced to 9 years in prison.
- Parisa Shahidi sentenced to 9 years in prison.
- Mojdeh Zouhori sentenced to 9 years in prison.
- Parivash Shojai sentenced to 9 years in prison.
- Tina Mauhabati sentenced to 9 years in prison.
- Hana Aqiqiyan sentenced to 9 years in prison.
- Shohreh Samimi sentenced to 9 years in prison.

Iran constitution does not recognize Baha’i as a religious minority. Baha’i International Community Religious organization said that more than 80 Baha’is are in Iranian prisons
