Arza News:Exquisite and elegant book of ‘Prophets gospel’ is the most ancient manuscript gospel of Christ protected in the Tabriz central library.
This book was accepted as one of Iran’s national currency’s bankroll due to its great financial and spiritual values.
This gospel has been written on fish skin in ancient Syriac (Assyrian) language and the script which is used in this book is one of the famous scripts in the world.
The date and how this book is entered in Iran is unknown, but the last owner of it was going to sell it out of Iran in 80 years ago.
The government was notified and prevented it. Then the government intrusted the book to the Azerbaijan State Association and it has been kept in the Tabriz central library until now.
It is said that this book was refurbished by David Ben Malek Shan in Moosh Abad Village, which is the environs of Azerbaijan Gharbi in 800 years ago.
According to manuscripts experts of Tabriz central library, firstly it was supposed that this book is Holy write( inclusive The Bible, the Torah, the Psalms, Solomon’s letters,…) but European experts who are familiar with ancient Syriac after many researches confirmed that this book is one of the most prestigious and oldest gospels of the world and is near to original gospel.
Manouchehr Jafari the head of the general directorate of public libraries of East-Azerbaijan stated about the international customers of ‘Prophets gospel’ : “Vatican representatives have proposed many times about the purchase of this book by giving a blank check to Tabriz central library.”
Since the experts who are familiar with the ancient Syriac language are rare in the world, one of the basic worry about translation of this book is the integrity of its revelation’s meaning.
