Paintings by South Azerbaijani artist displayed in Ankara (photo Gallery)
Araz News: In a first of its kind exhibition, South Azerbaijani artist Ramin Abdollahzadeh displays his portraits of historical South Azerbaijani figures at an art gallery in Ankara.
Abdollahzadeh claims the purpose of the exhibit is to showcase prominent South Azerbaijanis to show the deep level of respect and admiration that the Azerbaijani nation has for its national heroes. His aim is for audiences in Turkey and the world to discover these important figures.
In his exhibit, Azerbaijani political, cultural and historical figures both from North and South Azerbaijan are portrayed, ranging from ancient national hero, Babak, to famed poet Shahriyar. Turkey’s official media outlet TRT interviews Abdollahzadeh about his artwork.
