Iran – UAE Case Concluded: Iran is sentenced to 18 Billion Dollars Penalty
Iranian deputy Ebulfazl Abu Turabi announced that the International Criminal Court (ICC) sentenced Iran to pay $ 18 billion in compensation to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Najaf Abad city deputy Ebu Turabi said in the Iranian newspaper the Shark that the UCM condemn Iran to pay 18 billion dollars to UAE.
The oil minister allegedly caused Iran to face this punishment, stated that he would present a parliamentary appeal on the issue of Bijen Zengene.
An official who refused to give a name to the Iranian Ministry of Petroleum also noted that during the period of former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the Crescent agreement was violated by Iran, and that Iran could be punished from this file.
An agreement was signed between the Iranian National Petroleum Corporation and the oil and gas company Crescent Petroleum in central UAE in 2001, and Crescent Petroleum sued on the grounds that Iran did not comply with the agreement.
