Twin Brothers From Tabriz Won Another Prize For Their Movie Called ‘Animal’.
The twin brothers Bahram and Bahman, who participated in the Fajr Film Festival in Iran with the film “Animal”, achieved another success.
Yesterday evening, the closing ceremony of the 36th Fajr Film Festival was held in the tower of Milat in Tehran. According to the given information, Erk’s brothers (Bahman ve Bahram) recieved the Crystal Simurg award, ın the “Best Short Film” category, for the film ‘Animal’.
An ‘Animal’ is a story about a man who wants to leave the country and crosses the border. There is no dialogue in the film.
The film of Erk’s brothers was deemed worthy of the second prize of Cannes Film Festival Cinefondation Choice. The film won the Best Director Award and the Best Film Awards at Brazil and Izmir festivals.
The film, shot by Tabriz filmmakers, won the creative prize of the Italian Med Film Festival. This award is called the “Cervantes Prize”.
In November The ‘Animal’ won the Best Short Film of the 40th Denver Film Festival in America.
The Erk brothers also shot a full-lenght film called “Cold”. The “Cold” film received the “Jury Special Award” as well as the “Best Director” award (Bahram and Bakhman Erk), and “Best Actress” (Nasrin Muradi) awards at the Iran Children’s Films Festival in Tabriz.
