Araz News:  The TRAXTOR football team has been established by factory workers during the 70s, evolved over the time, it has  returned to the dissenting voices of Turkish nationalism.

The TRAXTOR football team  is the most intense national opposition movement in Iran. Therefore; Ibrahim Ramazani, the author of the book, has introduced the book with the name of “Rebellion of  Traxtor”, which is about the position and the effect of this team in the movement of South Azerbaijan.

The book, published by the “Dogu Library “  publishing house and is available for purchase.

Tractor Sazi Azerbaijan, or Traxtor as it is known the local Turkish dialect, has become the unofficial team of South Azerbaijan and serves as a point of pride for Azerbaijani national identity in Iran. Azerbaijani-Turks gather in the tens of thousands for each game to not only support their team, but also to chant national slogans calling for self-determination as well as greater linguistic and cultural rights.

It is quite common for Azerbaijani activists to be arrested during Tractor Sazi matches.
