Araz News: Lake Urmia’s drying is not only an environmental disaster for Azerbaijani people which offers specific threats for many features of their lives. It has also a very deep psychological impact on any Azerbaijani person. Lake Urmia is a symbol of region’s vitality and every South Azerbaijani has childhood memories with this lake.

Deniz Galata is a South Azerbaijani young singer who lives in US, Los Angles. His most recent song is about Lake Urmia. He says that as an Azerbaijani Turk he tries to sound South Azerbaijan’s problems in his works.
