Russian Federal Security Service Encircled and Searchs Inside Crimean Mejlis
Officers of Russian Federal Security Service encircled Mejlis building Sept 16 and are currently conducting a search inside of the building.
Commenting the incident, deputy head of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people Ahtem Chiygoz said it is connected with the Mejlis decision to boycott Crimean Parliament elections held September 14.
“Whatever one may do, Crimean elections did not turn out as it was planned. So-called Crimean Tatar representatives, who had to insure Crimean Tatar turnover during Parliament elections Sept 14, did not deal successfully with their task”. As a result, head Belohorsk Mejlis office Mustafa Asaba’s house was searched, as well as Mejlis central building was blocked.”
FSB officers have encircled the building of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people September 16. They refused to comment the situation, saying “we are not authorized to comment anything”.
Earlier this morning house of Eskender Bariev, member of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people, was searched for banned literature by armed FSB officers.
House of the head of Belohorsk Mejlis office Mustafa Asaba was also searched September 16.
