Araz News:Arab Struggle Movement for the Liberation of Ahwaz held a demonstration in front of the United Nations headquarters in Vienna in support of the ongoing Ahwazi popular protests in throughout the Ahwaz region on 17 Feb.

Also, Ahwazi Arab communities in the Netherlands are demonstrating today in the Hague city in front of Iran’s embassy in solidarity with their people in the Ahwaz.

The Ahwazi national activists believe that the Iranian regime is seeking to eradicate the Ahwazi Arab existence and presence in the country once and for all. As such, activists insist that international silence about the regime’s crimes implies international approval. They are calling for the international community to intervene unconditionally to stop the Iranian regime’s campaign of genocide; the relentless executions, torture and destruction of basic human and civil rights; the destruction of the environment; and the annihilation of the culture, identity and existence of an entire Arab nation.

It should be noted that Nader Gazipour, parliamentarian of Urmia in Iranian parliament support Ahwaz people on 18 Feb. He said in Iranian parliament:” The government, instead of unnecessary trips to abroad such as Oman, should pay serious attention to environmental issues in Ahwaz.”
