Araz News: Iranian president Hasan Rouhani issued an order to start Lake Urmia rescue operation.

Oyrenci Sesi web site of South Azerbaijan reports, in a press conference on June 29, Mr. Rouhani, as head of the High Council of Environmental Affairs, announced the order. He said the government is ready to pay rescue operation’s cost how much it is necessary.

Mr. Rouhani told Lake Urmia’s case is especial (in compare with other environmental problems in Iran) and its drying will be very harmful for people and country.

In the conference Mr. Kalantari head of the Lake Urmia Rescue Work Team told the team’s preparations are completed and the team will start the rescue operation from next week, by the order of the president.
