Turkic Council Junior Diplomats 1st Joint Training Program was held in Turkey on 13-25 April 2014. The decision about organizing this Program was taken at the Council of Foreign Ministers on  15 August 2014 in Gabala on the margins of the Third Summit of the Turkic Council.

The main purpose of this program which is planned to be repeated in each Member State by the Secretariat, is to share some basic knowledge as well as to ensure that junior diplomats of the Member states get acquainted with their colleagues and learn more about other Member States as they are expected to cooperate among each other throughout their careers.

During the program junior diplomats were lectured by prominent Professors and lecturers as Prof. İlber Ortayli, Prof. Mustafa Aydin, Prof. Ahmet Tasağıl, Prof. Mehmet Arda, Prof. Nurhan Atasoy, and Ret. Ambassador Murat Bilhan on the common Turkic history, diplomatic correspondence, role of international and regional organizations in world politics, global economic order as well as on other related issues.

Additionally, language courses aiming at acquainting the participants with the languages of the Member States at the basic level were included in the program.

Also junior diplomats have paid cultural visit tours to Konya, Kayseri, Nevşehir and Ankara.

Finally, Turkic Council Junior Diplomats 1st Joint Training Program was completed with wreath laying ceremony at Atatürk Mausoleum (Anıtkabir).
