Araz News: According to receiving information, Azerbaijan National Movement activist Hojjat al-Islam Azimi Ghadimi was arrested in Tabriz on April 6. He is a well-known clergyman who defends South Azerbaijan rights.

Hojjat al-Islam Azimi Ghadimi and his children have been arrested and transferred to an unknown location.

Hojjat al-Islam Azimi Ghadimi had been arrested several times due to social activities by the Iranian security forces.

It should be noted that the Amnesty International has released three statements about Hojjat al-Islam Azimi Ghadimi on 24 August 2005 , 4 May 2006 and  27 October 2006 separately.
