Araz News: Azerbaijani political prisoner, Behnam Sheikhi is in hunger strike. Through a telephone call he informed a relative of him that he had started hunger strike. Currently he is held in solitary confinement in 209 Ward of Evin Prison. He objects uncertainty of his trial process.

It is 11 days that Ayat Mehralibeyglou is in hunger strike. Meanwhile in an interweave with VOA, his brother Rouhollah Mehralibeyglou said authorities threatens Ayat Mehralibeyglou’s wife Sona by imprisonment to silence her. Ayat Mehralibeyglou is one of five members of Central Committee of New National Awaking Movement of Azerbaijan (NNAMA) who are sentenced to 9 years imprisonment.
