Two Other South Azerbaijani Political Prisoners Began Hunger Strike
Araz News: Two South Azerbaijani political prisoners, Ayat Mehralibeyglou and Arash Mohammadi have begun hunger strike in central prison of Tabriz on April 15.
In a letter conveyed to media they stated:
“We, Ayat Mehralibeyglou and Arash Mohammadi, political prisoners of central prison of Tabriz have begun hunger objecting threatening prisoner’s families, summoning prisoner’s families to intelligence ministry, detaining prisoner’s family members, interrogation and torturing prisoner’s family members, exiling political prisoners, do not allowing political prisoners to be kept in their home cities, searching political prisoners homes brutally and wildly; which are all obvious human rights violence.”
Other South Azerbaijani political prisoner Mahmoud Fazli is in 8th day of hunger strike in central prison of Tabriz. Mahmoud Fazli began hunger strike because officials denies his right to make an appeal to Supreme Court of Country.
Ayat Mehralibeyglou and Mahmoud Fazli are two of five members of Central Committee of New National Awaking Movement of Azerbaijan (NNAMA) who are sentenced to 9 years imprisonment.
