Dr. Hasani, secretary general of New South Azerbaijan Awaking Movement has been transferred to Evin Prison’s quarantine while he continues to hunger strike. He began to hunger strike on May 18.

Dr. Latif Hasani is in 33th day of hunger strike. He is imprisoned in central prison of Tabriz. He demands to be transferred to a prison in his hometown.
His wife Mrs. Azam Piri has written a letter to public opinion to draw attention on his husband’s critical health conditions. Mr. Hasani experiences severe health problems.

South Azerbaijani political prisoner Dr. Latif Hasani is in 28th day of hunger strike. Reportedly his health conditions is very bad. Recently his wife Mrs. Azam Piri met he in prison. She said he hardly can speak because he has become so weak.

Dr. Hasani is secretary general of New South Azerbaijan Awaking Movement. He and four other members of Central Committee of New South Azerbaijan Awaking Movement each are sentenced to nine years in prison.
Dr. Hasani is serving the sentence in Central Prison of Tabriz.
