Araz News: South Azerbaijani Poet Ali Samad Pour who is serving 19th month of 2 year imprisonment term in prison of Sarab city of South Azerbaijan is in very bad health condition.

He is suffering from chronic heart problems, high blood pressure and allergy. But prison officials do not accept to allow him to receive proper medical treatment out of the prison. Reportedly he was able to receive medical care out of prison only for three days, which is very insufficient and his doctors say he needs to receive longer treatments.

Mr. Ali Samad Pour was arrested in 2013 alongside some other South Azerbaijani activists.

He was hardly tortured during interrogation such that experienced cardiac arrest.

He was sentenced to two years in prison charged of propaganda against regime and insulting religious leader.
