Araz News: Deputy Speaker of the German parliament, Mrs. Claudia Roth, who was heading a German delegation for a five-day visit to Iran, has visited Lake Urmia to observe the major environmental disaster in place.

In a meet with East Azerbaijan governor in Tabriz she told: Lake Urmia is a huge wound that makes one cry. Situation of Urmia Lake is really sad and Germany is ready to help to rescue it.

She added: Lake Urmia is not an ordinary lake and has serious impact on wild and human life of the region.

She told officials who made the unreasonable bridge on lake should be accountable.
