ANOTHER BAHA’I STUDENT MS. AFROOZ ZABIHI HAS DEPRIVED OF EDUCATION IN IRAN
Araz News: Baha’i student Ms. Afrooz Zabihi has deprives of education in her fifth Term Civil Engineering from Shahid Beheshti University. She was banned from continuing her education due to her religious faith after passing 90 credits.
It should be noted that Ms. Afrooz Zabihi has Zabihi has several achievements in the Shining Genius Test in her name.
According to receiving information from reliable sources for Ms. Zabihi, at the same time as the publication of the President’s Bill of Rights and the beginning of final exams, she was contacted on behalf of the Education Officer of the college. Moreover, she was verbally notified that her general educational qualifications had not been confirmed, and therefore she would be prevented from continuing her education. She was expelled on the same day, and all her courses in the current term were eliminated. Also, on the registration page of the College’s website, it was indicated that she was not allowed to register.”
This is not first time that the Iranian regime has banned the basic right of Baha’i people which is their education.
According to Article 30 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran, all citizens have a right to higher education. Also, according to Article 23 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran, inquisitorial questioning is forbidden, and no one may be questioned solely because of their beliefs.
